NORTH COVE LANDING, WICKFORD, RI The compact neighborhood design for 38 units of affordable housing consists of a mix of building types, including duplexes and four unit townhouses, parking is situated beside or behind buildings to help strengthen the pedestrian network of the community. Two traditionally inspired New England village greens form the heart of the community and a centrally located laundry and mail facility will be the social hub of the neighborhood. Situated next to a waterfront park with public access to the water, it displays the principles of compact place-making that is very much in keeping with local precedent. |

UNITED FRONT, NEW BEDFORD, MA United Front Homes located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, originally 200 units of Section 8 housing in desperate need of renovation. This project will reduce the number of units to 173 and change the whole layout to reintroduce street scapes. Project includes demolition of 62 units, new construction of 35 units and rehabilitation of 138 units. |

SMITH HILL VISIONS II, Providence, RI This ambitious undertaking confronts today’s most serious threat that faces hundreds of urban neighborhoods throughout the country – the proliferation of foreclosed properties. The Plan addresses two pressing issues – the addition of affordable rental units and the acquisition of rehabilitation of foreclosed and vacant properties. This is an unprecedented opportunity to provide much needed affordable housing while repairing, restoring 52 rental units and improving a densely populated residential sector of the city. |

COVENTRY MEADOWS, COVENTRY, RI Coventry Meadows is the construction of 44 new rental units for persons or families below 60% of the area median income with half of the units serving residents at or below 50% of the AMI. Located on approximately 8 acres of vacant land located off Tiogue Avenue in Coventry. Coventry Meadows will create a great buffer of higher density residential between commercial and lower density single family homes. |

WEIDEMANN COURT, NEWPORT, RI Weidemann Court is a proposed development offering four single family dwellings in a multi-phased residential development in the Newport, RI. These units will be offered as a Rent-to-Own program. The project has been designed to be a model of sustainable development, from energy efficient building envelopes and mechanical systems, to site development and drainage. TDC of $1.7 million funded with HUD Replacement Housing Funds Program. |
